Conflicts of Interest & Funding
A benchmark should be transparent about who pays it and why. This page states how NPPI is funded, every commercial relationship that could create a conflict, and the mechanisms that keep those relationships away from the published number.
1. How NPPI is funded
NPPI is subscriber-funded. Reactor N earns revenue from subscriptions to the analysis tiers (see pricing). It does not earn revenue from the entities whose deals it prices in exchange for that pricing.
- Reactor N accepts no payment from any utility, hyperscaler, reactor developer, financier, or counterparty in exchange for inclusion, exclusion, ranking, quality-score, or any other treatment in the index.
- There is no sponsored content in the index and no vendor payment that influences a published number.
- Open-source PPA templates and the free headline tier are funded by subscription revenue, not by sponsors.
2. Ownership & stakes
Reactor N Intelligence is a product of OpenAgent. To prevent the index from being captured by an interest it covers, we disclose here any ownership stake or funding relationship between Reactor N / OpenAgent and a covered market participant:
3. Commercial relationships, and how they are insulated
| Relationship | What it is | How the number is protected |
|---|---|---|
| Subscribers | Pay for access to analysis tiers | Access only. Subscription status never affects inclusion or pricing of any deal in the index. |
| Panel contributors forthcoming | Will submit confidential strike prices under NDA once the panel is seated — not yet active | Will be aggregated and never attributed; contributing will not move a contributor's own comp. (See firewall.) |
| Market-data inputs | Where the methodology draws on licensed market data, it is used as an input only | Inputs are cited; no data provider reviews or approves the published number. |
| Covered entities | Operators, hyperscalers, developers in the index | Receive no preferential treatment and have no pre-publication review of the print. |
4. Personnel & advisor conflicts
Reactor N personnel and advisors do not trade on, or hold undisclosed positions tied to, the specific securities or contracts NPPI prices ahead of publication. Any material personal or advisory interest in a covered entity is disclosed to the Oversight Committee (once seated) and recused from decisions affecting that entity.
5. Pre-publication review
No covered entity, subscriber, advertiser, or contributor receives the print before it is published. The number is not negotiated.
6. How this page is maintained
This disclosure is reviewed at every quarterly release and updated immediately on any material change (a new funding source, an ownership stake, a new commercial relationship that could create a conflict). The integrity ledger timestamps the methodology and data; this page covers the relationships around them.
