About

Independent pricing data for nuclear power.

Reactor N publishes NPPI ($/MWh), the first independent weekly nuclear power pricing index. Built on NRC, EIA-923, and FERC primary sources. Methodology is public.

Why this exists

The nuclear market repriced over the last 18 months. The Microsoft–Constellation TMI restart anchored PJM at ~$100–112/MWh. The Talen–Amazon Susquehanna deal moved baseload comps in the Mid-Atlantic. Hyperscaler PPAs in ERCOT and CAISO are pulling forward conversations that didn't exist 24 months ago.

Existing benchmarks have not kept up. Wood Mackenzie publishes quarterly. BNEF updates 2–4 times a year and locks data behind a two-seat ceiling. S&P's nuclear feeds run on opaque methodology. Universities can't afford any of them; operators can but get stale numbers; hyperscalers reference whatever leaked last.

Reactor N exists to fix this. One independent weekly $/MWh index, sourced from primary data, with methodology you can audit before you cite.

What we publish

Founder

Reactor N was founded by Tyler — an iOS developer turned data-infrastructure builder, working full-time on this. Background includes shipping the original Reactor N iOS application (App Store, 2025) used by nuclear engineers for fleet-status tracking, and building data pipelines pulling daily from NRC ADAMS, EIA-923, and FERC OASIS.

The product roadmap is shaped by direct conversations with commercial teams at operators, energy procurement teams at hyperscalers, and faculty at the country's largest nuclear engineering programs.

Independent. Reactor N is not affiliated with any utility, operator, hyperscaler, consultancy, or investment bank. We sell data; we don't sell positions on the data.

Primary sources only. Every NPPI input traces to NRC ADAMS, EIA-923, FERC OASIS, FERC filings, SEC disclosures, state PUC filings, or verified IR-call transcripts. No aggregator dependencies.

Public methodology. The full computation is documented in a versioned PDF. Subscribers see methodology revisions in their feed. Outside researchers are welcome to peer-review.
